Award-winning director Danny Boyle, who just delivered the highly anticipated sequel "28 Years Later" this summer, is already moving on to his next feature film. Deadline reported this morning that Boyle is set to direct the biopic "Ink," with Media Res and House Productions co-financing and producing. Guy Pearce is confirmed to star, and Jack O'Connell, who recently delivered standout performances in "28 Years Later" and "Sinners," will reunite with Boyle for another key role.

"Ink" is an adaptation of British playwright James Graham's 2017 stage play. Set in 1969, the story chronicles Australian media magnate Rupert Murdoch's acquisition of "The Sun" newspaper and his subsequent hiring of editor Larry Lamb to oversee its overhaul. Pearce, an Australian himself, will portray Murdoch, while O'Connell, a Brit, will play Lamb. Graham penned the screenplay for the film, which is slated to begin production in October.
