BANDAI CANDY, the confectionery toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from its popular assembly model confectionery toy series, 『SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT』. This new item, the "SRX Complete Box Set", based on the game 《Super Robot Wars OG》, is scheduled for release in February 2026. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
In the game, the 'SRX Project' is a development plan for humanoid mobile weapons, "Personal Troopers," undertaken by the Earth Federation Army's Far East Branch Izu Base to enhance Earth's military defense capabilities. Its objective is to utilize EOT (Extra-Over Technology) to create super weapons capable of single-handedly turning the tide of battle. Representative units include the high-mobility "R-1" which can transform into a fighter jet, the heavily armored artillery type "R-2", the long-range sniper type "R-3", and the "R-GUN" which functions as a dedicated weapon. Each of the four units possesses unique armaments and can operate independently. However, their true value is unleashed when they combine to form the super robot "SRX (Super Robot X-Type)", which possesses extremely powerful combat capabilities, able to utilize the pilots' psychokinesis to unleash high-firepower armaments such as "Tenjo Tenge Nen-Do Bakusai Ken" and "Tenjo Tenge Ichigeki Hissatsu Ho".
The SMP "SRX Complete Box Set" will comprehensively include previously released items such as "R-1 & R-GUN", "R-2 Powered & R-3 Powered", "Invincible Expansion Parts Set", "Original Body Marking Decals", and "R-1 Kai Reproduction Replacement Parts", offering players who missed out before a chance to acquire them again.
All four units faithfully recreate their cool designs and abundant armaments from the game's settings, and feature flexible articulated joint designs. Furthermore, through the combination gimmick and some interchangeable parts, the super robot "SRX", standing approximately 36 cm tall, can be reproduced. Paired with the massive "Z.O. Sword" armament, which is approximately 75 cm long, the powerful special move "Tenjo Tenge Nen-Do Bakusai Ken" can be recreated. With the rich array of accessories from the "Invincible Expansion Parts Set", it's also possible to further recreate "Chouzetsu Nen-Do Ken", "Giga Slash Kick", "Sphere Sanctuary", and the "Steel Mirror Breaker Beam" which fires the Banpresto logo from its head.
