World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys today (22nd) announced its latest product from the American horror-comedy series "Wednesday," the "Wednesday" 1/6th scale collectible figure! The suggested retail price is HKD 1,930.
Adapted from "The Addams Family" and starring Jenna Ortega, "Wednesday" tells the story of the dark maiden of the Addams family, Wednesday Addams. After unleashing a brutal prank on bullies by releasing piranhas into the swimming pool to defend her bullied brother, she is expelled from her regular high school and transferred to Nevermore Academy, a school for outcasts and those with unique abilities. Initially determined to escape Nevermore Academy, Wednesday later finds herself embroiled in a terrifying monster's serial murder case, prompting her to uncover the culprit while continuing to explore her special abilities amidst the perplexing campus life.
This 1/6th scale collectible figure of "Wednesday" features a newly developed 27 cm tall body with 25 points of articulation. It meticulously recreates her Nevermore Academy uniform as seen in the first season of "Wednesday," from the stripes on her black blazer, the academy emblem, black knitted vest, and pleated skirt, to her black platform shoes. The head sculpt, crafted based on actress Jenna Ortega's facial contours, exudes an arrogant and aloof aura, with finely detailed smoky eyeshadow and dark purple lipstick. The movable eye design also allows for various gaze changes.
Accessories include a black cello, a chair, a black umbrella, a leather backpack, a crystal ball in a box, a tracking device, a Nightshade Society book, multiple interchangeable hands with black nail polish, and "Thing" in three different poses! "Thing" even has magnets inside, allowing it to attach to Wednesday's shoulder – super cute!
