Japan's Good Smile Company (GSC) is expanding its affordable POP UP PARADE line of pre-painted PVC figures with a new release from the popular anime "My Dress-Up Darling." The "Marin Kitagawa Shizuku Kuroe Cultural Festival Ver." non-scale pre-painted figure will be available in Japan as the A Prize in the "My Dress-Up Darling" ANIPLEX lottery, set to launch in December 2025, with each draw priced at 880 JPY. For overseas collectors, the pre-order price will follow GSC's official website pricing (Taiwan pricing is NT$1,100), with an estimated release in January 2026.
Marin's cosplay as Shizuku Kuroe in her Cultural Festival outfit, from the in-universe game "Slippery Girls 2," appeared in the second episode of the anime's second season. This was the character Marin portrayed when she and Wakana Gojo attended an ACOSTA event at an aquarium after Marin recovered from a severe cold. During the event, she also met fellow cosplayer Amane, gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges male cosplayers face when portraying female characters.
This POP UP PARADE Marin Kitagawa (Shizuku Kuroe Cultural Festival Ver.) stands approximately 17 cm tall, faithfully recreating Shizuku's Cultural Festival attire, which blends traditional Japanese kimono elements with a maid outfit. The sculpt meticulously reproduces the rose patterns on the kimono and the intricate pleats of the maid apron. Details like the waist ties, the bow hair ornament, and even the mesh-gloved hands are all exquisitely rendered. The face sculpt captures Marin's endearing, slightly vulnerable expression during her photoshoot, with rosy cheeks and a subtle downturned brow that is simply irresistible!
