"Hamnet" is an adaptation of O'Farrell's acclaimed 2020 novel, a fictionalized account inspired by the private life of playwright William Shakespeare. The story delves into how Shakespeare's wife, Agnes Hathaway, grapples with the devastating loss of their only son, Hamnet, and how this profound grief ultimately inspired Shakespeare's iconic tragedy, "Hamlet." The film is scheduled for a limited theatrical release in North America on November 27, followed by a wider release on December 12.
