Renowned poster design and toy company MONDO, following their "Nightcrawler" release, has once again launched a new product based on the classic X-Men animated series' sequel, "X-Men '97" – the "Mister Sinister Limited Edition" 1/6 scale articulated figure. With a suggested retail price of US$265 and a global limit of 1250 units, it is now available for pre-order on the MONDO Shop official website, with an estimated release in March 2026!
Mister Sinister, whose real name is Nathaniel Essex, firmly believes in Darwin's theory of evolution and invented a serum that grants him near-immortal regenerative abilities. In "X-Men '97," he created Jean's clone, Madelyne, and attempted to seize her child, Nathan, whom she bore with Cyclops, believing Nathan possessed the "perfect genetic combination" to fulfill his grand ambitions.
This Mister Sinister 1/6 scale articulated figure stands approximately 31.7 cm tall, bringing his in-show appearance to life as an action figure. It faithfully recreates his deep and sinister facial details, sculpted to restore his robust musculature and the intricate textures of his costume. His exaggerated cape is also meticulously reproduced using soft plastic material! The paint application utilizes flat colors combined with line art and white highlights to replicate the anime's flat visual style, which becomes even more pronounced against a dark background!
Accessories include four interchangeable head sculpts, three sets of interchangeable hands, energy blast hand effects, a DNA disc, and numerous items that appeared in the classic "X-Men: The Animated Series" and "X-Men '97." The limited edition further includes a Mister Sinister shadow model and an additional interchangeable head sculpt, allowing collectors to pose him with other figures from the animated X-Men series to recreate iconic scenes!
