The Ultraman-themed prop replica series "ULTRA REPLICA" (ウルトラレプリカ), released by Japan's Bandai Toys, recently announced its latest product from "Ultraman Omega": the "Omega Slugger" (Omega Slugger/オメガスラッガー)! It is scheduled for release in March 2026, with a suggested retail price of 11,000 JPY (tax included).
The story of "Ultraman Omega" follows an alien who one day suddenly falls to Earth. Having lost his memory, he coincidentally takes on the alias "Hiroto Okita" and begins to interact with and observe humans. However, when encountering "Kaiju," giant creatures that had never appeared on Earth before, Hiroto transforms into the mysterious giant "Ultraman Omega" and battles the Kaiju!
As he sees and battles Kaiju more and more, Hiroto's memories gradually return. His first partner on Earth is "Kosei Hoshimi," and after Kosei gains the ability to control Omega's partner Kaiju, the "Meteor Kaiju," the two fight together, and their bond grows stronger.
The crimson cosmic head-dart, equipped on Omega's head, is powerfully brought to life in three dimensions within the ULTRA REPLICA series! Unlike the more child-oriented "DX Omega Slugger," this product focuses on the sharp, linear feel of the slugger as a deadly weapon during battles with Kaiju. Under the supervision of Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department, it strives to replicate the appearance of Omega's actual in-show usage. Not only can you wield it in your hand to experience the immersive feeling of becoming Omega, but it can also be displayed with its dedicated stand, designed based on Omega's head.
In addition to its precise sculpt replication, it naturally boasts interactive selling points as an ULTRA REPLICA collectible! These include a wealth of sound effects triggered by gripping the handle and swinging the slugger, special move sound effects, freely activatable color timer sounds, and recorded sound effects for the Meteor Kaiju "Reginess" & "Trigaloon," among others. It also features the in-show BGM "Omega's Theme (BRIGHT ETES) (UO_M-1)."
