Japan's KOTOBUKIYA toy company, in addition to "Ranma", has also simultaneously unveiled another new product based on the classic anime "Ranma ½" – the "Saotome Ranma" 1/7 scale pre-painted complete figure. The suggested retail price is 23,100 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in March 2026!
Rumiko Takahashi's "Ranma ½" tells the story of Saotome Ranma, a boy who transforms into a girl when splashed with cold water and returns to his male form with hot water, due to falling into a cursed spring during training. The series follows his hilarious and chaotic daily life with his fiancée Akane Tendo, as they face various romantic entanglements and martial arts challenges.
This Saotome Ranma 1/7 scale pre-painted complete figure stands approximately 19.5 cm tall, bringing Ranma's original male form to life. It captures him in a low, martial arts training stance, meticulously sculpting the lean muscles of his arms and the intricate details of his Chinese-style martial arts uniform. The sharp lines of the clothing folds, combined with the deep, subdued colors applied to the shaded areas, imbue the dynamic pose with powerful intensity! Ranma also comes with a hot water kettle accessory, allowing him to be displayed alongside the female Ranma figure (which includes a cold water bucket) to showcase the charm of both of Ranma's forms!
