Max Factory, a Japanese model manufacturer, has announced that the latest product from their popular articulated figure series 『figma』, 「Rikka Takarada GRIDMAN UNIVERSE Ver.」 from the theatrical anime film 《GRIDMAN UNIVERSE》, will be available for pre-order starting September 5th.
In 《SSSS.GRIDMAN》, the anime spin-off of Tsuburaya's classic tokusatsu 《Denkou Choujin Gridman》, the popular heroine Rikka Takarada is a classmate of Yuta Hibiki, Sho Utsumi, and Akane Shinjo. After participating in the fierce battle between Gridman and Alexis Kerib, everyone returned to a brief period of peaceful daily life. Rikka and Yuta, who had been freed from Gridman's possession, began to formally interact, and their relationship gradually warmed. Just as Yuta decided to confess his feelings to Rikka at the school festival, monsters and Gridman reappeared in Tsutsujidai....
Currently, the painted sample of 「figma Rikka Takarada GRIDMAN UNIVERSE Ver.」 has been unveiled, showcasing a completely new sculpt that recreates her new short-sleeved uniform design from the theatrical film. We can anticipate what new expressions and film-related accessories will be included with the product.
