Last year at the D23 Expo, Disney announced a sixth installment in the "Ice Age" franchise, bringing back original voice cast members Ray Romano as Manny, Simon Pegg as Buck, Queen Latifah as Ellie, Denis Leary as Diego, and John Leguizamo as Sid. The film was initially slated for release on December 18, 2026.
However, at the recent Destination D23 event, Disney pushed the release date back two months to February 5, 2027. Additionally, Disney today revealed the full title for the sixth film: "Ice Age: Boiling Point."

Beyond the sequel, Disney also announced a new original animated feature titled "Hexed." The story follows an introverted teenager and her overprotective mother who discover that the teen's unusual qualities might actually be a magical power. This power transports them to a world where magic can run wild. The film is scheduled for a North American release on November 25, 2026, coinciding with the Thanksgiving holiday.
