Hollywood Collectibles Group (HCG), a production team skilled in creating movie prop replicas and large-scale statues, has announced its latest product from the 1987 sci-fi action film "Robocop": the "Auto 9" 1/1 scale prop replica! Shipping is expected to begin in Q4 2025, with a suggested retail price of US$349.95, limited to 500 units.
The story of "Robocop" is set in the near future, in a turbulent Detroit (also referred to as "Hell" by characters in the film) where criminals run rampant. The protagonist is "Murphy," a male police officer who has just been transferred to Detroit. However, soon after arriving, Murphy is brutally murdered while he and his partner infiltrate a criminal hideout. Afterward, Murphy's remains are recovered by the mega-corporation "Omni Consumer Products" (OCP) and transformed into a half-human, half-machine "Robocop." Due to lingering memories from his time as Murphy, he still performs Murphy's signature move of twirling his gun before holstering it on his right thigh.
This time, HCG has brought to life Robocop's classic weapon, the Auto 9 select-fire pistol. This Auto 9 prop replica, handcrafted from Polystone, measures approximately 33 cm long, extending to 45 cm when displayed on its stand. It meticulously recreates the sleek gun body, mechanical details, and the iconic extended barrel. The display base, designed with a "Robocop" theme, is also excellent, featuring the OCP logo and futuristic, gradient-colored ROBOCOP embossed lettering.
