Bandai's GASHAPON capsule toy division, in collaboration with renowned Japanese camera brand Nikon, has unveiled the highly anticipated second installment of their capsule toy series, "Nikon Miniature Camera Collection"—"Nikon Miniature Camera Collection 2"! Each capsule is priced at 500 JPY, with an estimated release in late December 2025!
Nikon Corporation (株式会社ニコン) is a major Japanese optical instrument manufacturer and an affiliate of the Mitsubishi Group. In addition to its well-known cameras and camera lenses, Nikon also produces binoculars, microscopes, projectors, and eyeglasses. The brand's excellent focusing system and color reproduction capabilities have garnered a loyal following!
This "Nikon Miniature Camera Collection 2" once again transforms four Nikon film and digital cameras, along with their lenses, into miniature models. The lineup includes the Z50 II mirrorless camera, released in 2024 and equipped with a NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR lens; the high-end D850 digital SLR camera, released in 2017 and equipped with an AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR lens; the classic 35Ti film camera with a titanium body, released in 1993; and the compact COOLPIX S01 digital camera, released in 2012!
Each camera body is exquisitely reproduced in a miniature size of approximately 1.9 to 3.5 cm, featuring small mechanisms such as detachable lenses! For the Z50 II, the on-body flash can be opened, and the included lens cap can also be removed. The D850 allows for lens detachment and the attachment of a body cap. The 35Ti and COOLPIX S01 models feature a magnetic lens detachment and attachment design. Each model is incredibly detailed! Furthermore, the COOLPIX S01 is available in all five original colors: Mirror Silver, White, Red, Black, and Pink, faithfully recreating all the styles from its release year!
