The cast features Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw, Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, breakout child star Owen Cooper, and Oscar-nominated Hong Chau, among others. Charli XCX is set to compose an original theme song for the film.

Fennell's previous two films, "Promising Young Woman" and "Saltburn," were both produced by Robbie. Robbie also invited Fennell to cameo as the pregnant Barbie, Midge, in "Barbie." For this new adaptation, Robbie continues her role as producer through LuckyChap, the production company she co-founded.
