Japanese model manufacturer PLEX has announced the latest product in its "Jumbo Soft Vinyl Figure SD" series, from "Mobile Suit Gundam", the "Jumbo Soft Vinyl Figure SD Hyaku-Shiki (Gold Limited Edition)", scheduled for release in January 2026.
In the series, the MSN-00100 Hyaku-Shiki, piloted by Quattro Bajeena (Char), was born from the "Z Project" jointly developed by the anti-Federation organization AEUG and Anaheim Electronics. Originally a transformable mobile suit with the development codename "δ Gundam", testing revealed that its movable frame could not withstand the stress from the transformation system. Consequently, the transformation mechanism was canceled, and the design was revised. Despite this, it still possessed outstanding performance for its era. Although its full-body golden anti-beam coating was generally ineffective in the setting, its exterior design was incredibly cool.
The "Jumbo Soft Vinyl Figure SD Hyaku-Shiki (Gold Limited Edition)" is a modification of the previously released standard version. Its entire armor is given a luxurious gold coating based on the anime's design, offering a more metallic texture compared to the plastic molded color of the standard version. The outer packaging is also a limited edition specification, redesigned with black and gold.
Aside from the color, the specifications are identical to the standard version. Standing approximately 24 cm tall, its body is designed using 3D digital modeling. In addition to rich surface details on the armor, it also ensures rotational articulation at the neck, shoulders, hands, and waist joints. Accessories include two weapons: a beam rifle and a beam saber, which can be freely equipped in both hands.
