Hong Kong model brand FLAME TOYS has officially announced the second product in its 'Go! Kara Kuri Combine' series of transforming and combining model toys, "Dragonzord / Dragon Caesar," from "Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger / Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," slated for release in May 2026.
Dragonzord (Dragon Caesar) is the Yamato Tribe's Guardian Beast, summoned from the sea by Dragon Ranger playing the "Dragon Dagger." By changing the tone of the Dragon Dagger, Dragonzord can be remotely controlled. Its fingers can fire super-heated energy blasts called "Dragon Comet," and its drill-shaped tail possesses immense offensive power. It can also concentrate energy in its chest to deploy a full-body shield, allowing it to combat multiple giant enemies alone. Furthermore, it can combine with the Mastodon, Sabertooth Tiger, and Triceratops to form "Mega Dragonzord," or combine with Daizyujin to form "Ultrazord."
"Go! Kara Kuri Combine Dragonzord / Dragon Caesar" continues the design style of its predecessor, Daizyujin, with a heavily modified original design, featuring a more slender and agile form closer to a "Dragon Human" image. The product is crafted at a substantial height of 24 cm, with some parts made of alloy material. It also utilizes various metallic paint finishes to reproduce the elaborate carvings across its body, offering both a weighty metallic texture and a substantial feel.
Due to its more slender physique compared to the original, its flexible articulation allows for dynamic battle poses, fully enabling the recreation of scenes where its fingers fire "Dragon Comet" and its massive drill tail swings. At the same time, Dragonzord, with its new design, faithfully reproduces its characteristic transformation and combination mechanism, allowing it to combine with the separately sold Daizyujin to form "Mega Dragonzord" or "Ultrazord."
Through its precise combination and transformation mechanism, it can combine with the Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Mastodon to form "Mega Dragonzord." The overall design extends from the original, featuring more exaggerated large armor and slender, flexible limbs. The most eye-catching element is the "Dragon Lance" formed from Dragonzord's tail, which boasts a significantly larger size, complex drill grooves, and thruster nozzles at the tip compared to the original. Additionally, Dragonzord's lower leg parts can transform into original "twin gun" weapons for Mega Dragonzord to equip.
When combined with the complete Daizyujin, the powerful "Ultrazord" is formed. Its combination method is essentially the same as the original, with Dragonzord transforming into external armor and covering Daizyujin's upper body. The differences lie in the massive "Dragon Lance" separating to become a standalone weapon, the Pterodactyl on Daizyujin's back now storing in the lower back, and the dual shoulder shields transforming into auxiliary arms. This allows the four-armed Ultrazord to simultaneously wield weapons such as the "Dragon Lance," "Dino Sword God Horn," "Mastodon Shield," or "twin guns," enabling a fully armed pose brimming with gravitas.
