Director Richard Linklater, known for "School of Rock" and the "Before Sunrise" trilogy, is set to have a busy October. In addition to his latest collaboration with long-time partner Ethan Hawke, "Blue Moon," his French debut, "Nouvelle Vague," is also hitting theaters. The latter just dropped its second official trailer tonight.
"Nouvelle Vague" delves into the behind-the-scenes story of Jean-Luc Godard's seminal French New Wave film, "Breathless" (À bout de souffle). The film is slated for an October 8 release in French cinemas, followed by a limited North American theatrical run on October 31, before arriving on Netflix in the U.S. on November 14.

The cast of "Nouvelle Vague" features Guillaume Marbeck as Godard and Adrien Rouyard as François Truffaut. Zoey Deutch, who previously worked with Linklater on "Everybody Wants Some!!," portrays Jean Seberg, the female lead of "Breathless."
The screenplay was penned by Laetitia Masson, along with Holly Gent and Vincent Palmo Jr., who previously collaborated with Linklater on "Where'd You Go, Bernadette." Michèle Pétin, producer of the "Taxi" film series, also contributed to the script.
