Gunn also mentioned on the show that "Man of Tomorrow" will see Superman and Lex Luthor temporarily set aside their rivalry to form an emergency alliance against a greater threat. "This story is about Lex Luthor and Superman having to team up in some way against a larger threat," Gunn explained. "It's as much a Lex Luthor movie as it is a Superman movie." Speaking of Superman, Gunn also briefly praised Milly Alcock, who is set to star in her own "Supergirl" solo film. He remarked, "She might be the best casting decision I've ever made in my life. Her performance in this movie is undeniably stunning."
