Japanese model maker PLEX has announced the latest addition to its soft vinyl blind box series, "Mini Soft Vinyl Chronicle," featuring the "Godzilla vs. Evangelion Mini Soft Vinyl Chronicle" from the collaborative project "Godzilla vs. Evangelion," scheduled for release in October 2025.
The dream collaboration project "Godzilla vs. Evangelion," which materialized following Hideaki Anno's direction of "Shin Godzilla" in 2016, has since released numerous popular products featuring Godzilla and EVA appearing together. Notably, the Pachinko machine "P Godzilla vs. Evangelion ~G-Cell Awakening~" introduced a new story that merges the two worldviews, including a mutated form of Unit-01 whose body was eroded by G-Cells after being attacked by Godzilla's atomic breath. This design was later brought to life as a model product by PLEX, generating considerable buzz and becoming a highly sought-after item.
The newly released "Godzilla vs. Evangelion Mini Soft Vinyl Chronicle" features 6 types of characters that appeared in the "Godzilla vs. Evangelion" project. Each figure is crafted in a mini soft vinyl specification with a height of only 4 cm, showcasing precise details and color applications to express the SD proportion designs. In addition to the standard colors based on the original settings, each character also comes in a special color version with clear molding and glitter, offering a total of 12 types to collect.
