The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company has announced the third product in its character assembly model series, "30 MINUTES PREFERENCE," from "Bocchi the Rock!" The product, "Ryo Yamada," is scheduled for release in March 2026.
Ryo Yamada, the bassist of "Kessoku Band," is a mysterious, literary, androgynous girl who often wears vintage clothing. She possesses extensive musical knowledge and playing technique. While her appearance is popular among other girls, internally she is an eccentric individual who acts on her own terms, regardless of the situation. Despite coming from a relatively wealthy family, she spends her allowance indiscriminately on instruments, leading her to accumulate debt and resort to eating grass to survive, even taking advantage of the unfortunate Bocchi.
"30MP Ryo Yamada", like the previous two releases, Hitori Gotoh and Ikuyo Kita, is sculpted in a LIVE performance pose, wearing the Kessoku Band top and wristband. BANDAI's advanced color separation and part division technology is extensively utilized to recreate the colors of her hair, clothing, and instrument accessories. The "Kessoku Band" logo on her chest is reproduced with a separate white part, eliminating the need for stickers. The long skirt parts are made of soft material, which reduces interference with leg articulation.
Accessories include two pre-printed face parts, as well as water-slide decals with facial patterns for creating a variety of expressions, allowing for the display of Ryo's calm facial changes, and even her hilarious grass-eating look! Additionally, a bass, microphone stand, effect pedal, and various hand parts are included for recreating cool performance scenes. The bass not only reproduces rich details such as strings and knobs, but its strap, printed with a floral pattern, is made of a material that can be adjusted to match different poses. The "Edible Grass Encyclopedia" and "Wild Grass" accessories, designed to complement the grass-eating expression, are also currently under development!
