The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company has announced the first product in its character plastic model kit series "30 MINUTES PREFERENCE", "Madoka Kaname (School Uniform Ver.)" from "Puella Magi Madoka Magica", slated for release in March 2026.
The protagonist, Madoka Kaname, is a petite, somewhat self-conscious girl with an extremely kind and resilient heart. She became a Magical Girl with the wish to help others. After befriending the transfer student Homura Akemi, she became her Magical Girl senior and close friend, only to die during the arrival of "Walpurgisnacht". Even though Homura repeatedly manipulated time to return to the past and prevent Madoka from becoming a Magical Girl, it only led to the same recurring outcome, even strengthening Madoka's "aptitude" as a Magical Girl. Ultimately, Madoka, upon learning everything, chose to sacrifice herself, using this power to become the "Law of Cycles" that eradicates all witches, allowing Magical Girls who were about to become witches to find salvation.
The "30MP Madoka Kaname (School Uniform Ver.)" utilizes Bandai's advanced color separation and part division technology to largely recreate the styling and colors of her hair and outfit. Not only are the red bow on her top, the cuffs, and the red lines on the hem separate parts, but even the white plaid pattern on her skirt is reproduced through part interlocking, attempting to use the molded color of the parts. At the same time, the entire body features a precise movable segmentation design, allowing for various cute everyday poses of Madoka using multiple articulated joints in the neck, chest, and limbs.
For accessories, it includes 2 types of pre-printed interchangeable face parts, as well as blank face parts for players to customize, and water-slide decals. In addition to 8 pairs of interchangeable hand parts and a school bag, the product also comes with an in-scale Incubator, "Kyubey", in a dangling posture, allowing for recreation of scenes where it is held close to Madoka's chest!
