The 'HG (High Grade)' series of 1/144 scale Gunpla, known for its diverse range of mobile suits, produced by BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan, has announced its latest product from the theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM": "HG 1/144 Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam [Recirculation Color/Neon Blue]". This product will be pre-sold at the 'INAZUMA ROCK FES 2025' event, held on September 20th and 21st, 2025.
The protagonist Kira Yamato's new mobile suit, the ZGMF/A-262B Strike Freedom Gundam Type II, is a new machine improved by Orb using the latest technology in "FREEDOM". While its external appearance hasn't changed significantly, its armaments, with the exception of the high-energy beam rifle, have all been updated. After combining with Lacus's new enhanced equipment, the "Proud Defender," to form the ZGMF/A-262PD-P Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam, it can unleash ultra-high-power armaments such as the "Convergent Heavy Nuclear Beam Cannon" hidden in its forehead.
The "HG 1/144 Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam [Recirculation Color/Neon Blue]" is produced using the same molds as the regular version, but incorporates recycled materials made from reclaimed runner parts. The black parts retain the original color of the recycled material, accented with vibrant neon blue molded parts. This futuristic color scheme symbolizes the concept of sustainability. Accessories include specially designed stickers with the "RE (RECIRCULATION)" emblem, which can be applied to various parts of the mobile suit.
Furthermore, the version pre-sold at 'INAZUMA ROCK FES 2025' will include a special bonus: "INAZUMA ROCK FES 2025 Limited Mobile Suit Decal Stickers." These stickers feature various original designs, including the blue camouflage and logo from this music festival's visual design, which can be applied to the Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam's outer armor and armaments, creating an image distinctly different from the original design.
