BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan is set to release its latest plastic model product, "Figure-rise Standard Amplified KaiserGreymon," from the anime "Digimon Frontier" on September 27, 2025. Ahead of its release, official new information including product box art design and actual sample images has been unveiled.
First appearing in the anime "Digimon Frontier," KaiserGreymon is a Transcendent Digimon possessing the power of flame. It is the ultimate evolved form of the protagonist Takuya Kanbara, utilizing the Spirits of Flame, Wind, Ice, Earth, and Wood. Its power surpasses that of the legendary Ten Legendary Warriors who previously wielded the Spirits. Within its body reside the nine Dragon Veins flowing through the earth, and if it can master the power of the Nine Dragons, it can unleash unfathomable strength. To control this power, it wields the "Dragon Soul Sword," a weapon that seals dragon souls, capable of unleashing powerful special moves such as "Flame Dragon Attack" and "Nine-Headed Dragon Array."
The overall design of "Figure-rise Standard Amplified KaiserGreymon" has been reinterpreted by illustrator As'Maria based on the original settings. Many parts incorporate the imagery of "dragons" to represent the Dragon Vein power residing within its body. The red and gold armor covering its entire body is further sculpted with mechanical layers and lines. The kit utilizes a rich variety of molded part colors, including dark gray, red, white, gold, dark blue, and clear blue, to thoroughly reproduce the high-density details and mechanical texture of the design. The spherical parts across its body are recreated using three-dimensional jewel stickers.
In addition to its cool appearance, KaiserGreymon has also been given enhanced playability. Basic articulation includes the neck and limbs, allowing for dynamic battle poses with the "Dragon Soul Sword." Furthermore, the Dragon Soul Sword features an original model mechanism: the bottom grip can extend and retract, and the golden blade can unfold to both sides, allowing it to be held with both hands to recreate the pose for unleashing its special move, "Flame Dragon Attack."
