Issued by Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, the popular assembly model 'Megami Device' series, which combines colorful mechanical equipment with highly articulated bishoujo bodies, has announced its latest product, "BUSTER DOLL Knight Alice with Honda AB12 MOTOCOMPO", scheduled for release in March 2026.
The 'BUSTER DOLL' series adopts the "Machineca Block2-M" articulated body, newly developed by sculptor Masaki Apsy. Compared to previous bodies, the part structure has been completely revamped, achieving the series' first built-in articulated frame structure, significantly enhancing part interchangeability. Developed with a focus on greatly improving assembly convenience and expanding interchangeable parts, the aesthetic beauty of the body lines has also been upgraded.
This product is a collaboration between Kotobukiya's Megami Device product "BUSTER DOLL Knight" and Aoshima Bunka Kyozai's assembly model "1/12 Honda AB12 MOTOCOMPO ‘81". The Honda AB12 MOTOCOMPO main body is an officially licensed and supervised assembly model by Honda Motor Co., Ltd., thoroughly reproducing the exterior design and internal structure of this classic 'folding scooter' launched in 1981. For this collaboration, it has been given a brand new sky-blue design and includes newly produced tire and helmet parts (assembly requires model glue).
The "BUSTER DOLL Knight" articulated figure also utilizes sky blue, white, and other colors to reinterpret the cute "Alice" image. It includes one pre-painted face part, with pupils recolored to match the main body's new colors, and a skin tone that is a more rosy 'Color B' than the original. Thanks to the excellent design of the "Machineca Block2-M" body, it not only boasts a slender and attractive figure but can also strike a variety of cute and alluring poses, allowing for various car model-like scenes when paired with the MOTOCOMPO.
