Sony officially unveiled the gameplay trailer for the PS5 exclusive "Marvel's Wolverine" at its September 2025 "State of Play" presentation, confirming the game's Fall 2026 release. Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel, the title has garnered significant attention for its bloody and dark tone.

Insomniac Games, known for the critically acclaimed "Marvel's Spider-Man" series, is once again tackling a superhero narrative, but "Marvel's Wolverine" promises a distinctly different atmosphere.
The trailer showcases appearances from iconic characters like Omega Red and Mystique, along with direct confrontations against classic villains such as the Sentinels. The game's settings span the globe, featuring the Canadian wilderness, the streets of Tokyo, and the fictional island nation of Madripoor.

Logan, the titular Wolverine, will be voiced by Liam McIntyre, known for his role as JD Fenix in the "Gears" franchise. Insomniac also stated that more game details, including insights into the story and gameplay, will be revealed in Spring 2026.
Since its initial announcement in 2021, "Marvel's Wolverine" has seen limited updates. In 2024, reports emerged that former creative director Brian Horton had departed to Xbox to work on the now-canceled "Perfect Dark" reboot. Additionally, a 2023 cyberattack led to the leak of early footage and data. This official reveal undoubtedly reignites player anticipation.
"Marvel's Wolverine" is confirmed for a Fall 2026 release on PlayStation 5.
