The popular alloy toy series "Chogokin Damashii", released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced its latest product from "Super Robot Wars OG", the "GX-119 Ryukoh-Oh / Kohryu-Oh", slated for release in April 2026.
Appearing in the game, the RyuOhki and KohOhki are semi-biological weapons developed by ancient Chinese people to combat demons and gods of destruction, based on the imagery of the Four Sacred Beasts. They possess autonomous thought circuits akin to souls. When excavated, they had lost most of their functions, thus they were repaired using parts from the Grungust Type-3. The two machines combine in different ways to form "Ryukoh-Oh", which excels in aerial and aquatic combat and can cast long-range spells, and "Kohryu-Oh", which boasts extremely high mobility and can rapidly execute close-range martial arts.
The "GX-119 Ryukoh-Oh / Kohryu-Oh" product includes both the RyuOhki and KohOhki units along with a wealth of weapon accessories. While some compromises in form and proportion were made to faithfully recreate the original's seemingly illogical combined forms, the figures also utilize precise sculpting, alloy parts, and gorgeous metallic paintwork to express their mechanical texture. The units also feature an original Chogokin Damashii transformation and combination mechanism design, allowing for both the "Ryukoh-Oh" form (dragon on top, tiger on bottom) and the "Kohryu-Oh" form (tiger on top, dragon on bottom)!
In both the "Ryukoh-Oh" and "Kohryu-Oh" forms, the overall design and proportions are even more faithful to the game's concept art, precisely recreating the distinctive exterior that blends ancient Chinese armor with sacred beast biology. It also features flexible articulated joints, allowing for dynamic posing of limbs, individual fingers, and more. Paired with Ryukoh-Oh's "Ryuoh Hazanken" and "Ryuoh Hazanken: Gekirin Zan", and Kohryu-Oh's "Shinsoku Sou", "Rentei Randa (Nunchaku)", and "Ryuki Yoku" weapons, various powerful battle poses can be recreated!
