According to the official press release, this project aims to "honor the past and push towards the future," perfectly coinciding with the 50th anniversary of "Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man." The collaboration will feature both classic reprints and all-new stories, slated to run from January 2026 through the spring, with potential for extension if market reception is strong.
The initial rollout will include two special reprint editions. On January 7, 2026, fans can look forward to "Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1," followed by the return of "Superman and Spider-Man Treasury Edition #1" on February 4, a classic originally published in the 1970s.
As spring approaches, the new narrative chapters will begin: DC plans to launch "Superman/Spider-Man #1" in March, with Marvel following in April with "Spider-Man/Superman #1." While the creative teams have yet to be revealed, official hints suggest that other well-known characters may make surprise appearances alongside the two core heroes.
