From director Lynne Ramsay, known for "We Need To Talk About Kevin," her first feature in eight years, "Die My Love," is set to hit North American theaters early next month. A second trailer dropped tonight, intensifying the promotional push.
The film is an adaptation of Argentinian author Ariana Harwicz's novel of the same name. Ramsay co-wrote the screenplay with Alice Birch, known for "Lady Macbeth," and Enda Walsh, writer of "Hunger." The synopsis reveals Grace's life descends into torment after giving birth to a son, struggling without her husband's support, help, or intimacy. Her pre-existing depressive tendencies ultimately spiral into severe mental illness.
