The METAL ROBOT魂 series, released by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, has officially announced the latest product from the theatrical anime "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM", the "Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam Final Battle Ver.", scheduled for release in April 2026. This product is a commemorative item for the "PREMIUM BANDAI FESTIVAL 2025", the largest online shopping festival in the history of the Bandai Namco Group.
In the latter half of the film, the protagonist Kira Yamato's new mobile suit, the ZGMF/A-262B Strike Freedom Gundam Type II, is a new machine improved by Morgenroete using the latest technology. While its exterior hasn't changed much, all its armaments, except for the High-Energy Beam Rifle, have been updated. When combined with Lacus's new enhanced equipment, the "Proud Defender", to form the ZGMF/A-262PD-P Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam, it can utilize ultra-high-power armaments such as the "Convergent Heavy-Nucleus Beam Cannon" hidden in its forehead and the physical sword "Futsunomitama".
The "METAL ROBOT魂 Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam Final Battle Ver." bundles parts of the previously sold "Strike Freedom Gundam Type II" and "Proud Defender", allowing direct combination into its powerful final battle form. The "Strike Freedom Gundam Type II" main body uses many new parts to recreate the right arm that lost its beam shield, the severed right railgun, and the damaged muzzle of the abdominal ultra-high impulse cannon. The paintwork also features partial scorch marks and scratched body markings to express battle damage.
The "Proud Defender" features a pearl coating on its wing parts, expressing the appearance of nano-particles scattering after the wings expand and glow. Additionally, the product includes newly sculpted hand parts, allowing for the recreation of the classic scene where the Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam spreads its wings and hovers, with Lacus standing beside its head.
Armament accessories include the Anti-ship Sword "Futsunomitama", Beam Shield effects, Beam Sabers, and connecting parts for a double-ended Beam Saber, allowing for a variety of combat poses. However, the High-Energy Beam Rifle and Lightning effect parts from the separately sold versions are not included.
