Two months ago, Jay Roach, director of the "Austin Powers" trilogy, reportedly stepped down from helming the "Ocean's Eleven" prequel, with Korean-American director Lee Isaac Chung ("Twisters") taking over. Today, major entertainment outlets are reporting another significant change: the male lead has also been replaced.
The prequel's initial lead pairing was Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, who famously portrayed Barbie and Ken. However, Gosling has now officially exited the project, and Bradley Cooper is reportedly in talks to assume his role.

Set in the 1960s, aligning with the era of the original 1960 "Ocean's Eleven" film, Robbie and Cooper are expected to portray the parents of master thieves Danny Ocean and Debbie Ocean, making them the parents of the franchise's core protagonists, George Clooney's Danny and Sandra Bullock's Debbie. Carrie Solomon, known for the Netflix romantic comedy "A Family Affair," penned the latest draft of the script.
Next year, two "Ocean's" films are slated to begin production. One is the aforementioned prequel, and the other is the official fourth installment, featuring the return of George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Clooney himself recently confirmed the production timeline for the latter, also revealing that Warner Bros. Pictures has approved the budget for the fourth film.
