Hasbro's renowned board game "Clue" was first adapted into a live-action film of the same name in 1985, featuring an ensemble cast including Tim Curry and Christopher Lloyd in a murder mystery. It has since been adapted into stage plays and miniseries. Recently, two new "Clue" small-screen projects are simultaneously in development, one of which will stream on Netflix, with Sony Pictures Television's TV division involved in the production of both.

The Netflix project is a "Clue"-themed competition show. Contestants will gather clues, identify the killer, and analyze motives. If their deductions are correct, their prize money will increase until they win; however, incorrect deductions will lead to elimination.
The other project is an hour-long drama series, with "Wicked" screenwriter Dana Fox and "Neighbors" writer-director Nicholas Stoller serving as showrunners. In addition to these two, Fox TV also began developing a "Clue" animated series three years ago, but there has been no new progress reported since.
