Bandai Assembly Model Shokugan 'SMP Mahou Sentai Majin Gattai Magiking <Shadow Version> & Magic Circle Expansion Parts Set' Recreates Super Rare DX Toy Limited Edition Colors!

BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from its popular assembly model Shokugan series 'SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT': the 'Majin Gattai Magiking & Magic Circle Expansion Parts Set', based on the Super Sentai tokusatsu series 'Mahou Sentai Magiranger', scheduled for release in March 2026.

The five warriors of the Magiranger team are siblings from the magical 'Ozu Family', who use various spells and magical tools to combat the underground Hades 'Infershia'. Their giant robots differ from most Sentai settings, as the five themselves can transform into five legendary Majin/Magical Machines: 'MagiPhoenix', 'MagiGaruda', 'MagiMermaid', 'MagiFairy', and 'MagiTaurus'. They can also combine into the giant dragon form 'MagiDragon' and the Majin form 'Magiking'.

The newly released 'Majin Gattai Magiking & Magic Circle Expansion Parts Set' is a modified version of the previously released standard edition, with the color scheme of the five Magical Machines uniformly changed to a mysterious black, purple, and gold. This unique color scheme originates from a special DX toy color variant released by official channels as a lottery prize during the show's broadcast, which was extremely rare. Now, it is finally available through the SMP series.

Aside from the colors, the design is fundamentally the same as the standard edition. The product inherits the transformation and combination mechanisms of the DX toy version and further improves articulation and sculpting. It recreates the five Magical Machines as an assembly model, for example, MagiPhoenix, transformed by MagiRed, features numerous additional joints throughout its body, boasting up to 24 points of articulation. MagiTaurus's shoulders include an original mechanism allowing MagiFairy to stand on them, and each machine can be posed dynamically on its own.

Whether combined into 'Magiking' or 'MagiDragon' form, it boasts a cooler sculpt, better body proportions, and more flexible articulation compared to the DX version. The small weapons of each machine can also combine to form the 'King Calibur' used by Magiking, allowing for dynamic poses to recreate its finishing move 'Magical Slash'. Accessories also include a non-separable, purple clear-molded 'Large King Calibur', a magic circle effect for Magiking, a magic circle effect for Wolzard, and more, which can be used with the Shadow Version Magiking and other Magiranger products released by SMP.
