The DC series "Peacemaker," whose plot is closely tied to the multiverse concept, aired its season finale this past Thursday. During a recent online press conference, series creator James Gunn, who now serves as co-CEO of DC Studios, was asked if there were any multiverse concepts for the season finale that ultimately didn't make the cut. Gunn then dropped a bombshell, revealing he had originally planned a cameo for Marvel's Deadpool.

Gunn revealed, "Yes, I originally wanted them to open one of the doors [to the quantum expansion chamber] and see Deadpool inside (laughs). I even discussed the plan with Ryan Reynolds, but I figured we'd have to jump through some pretty tough hoops (meaning getting Marvel Studios' approval) to make it happen! But he was interested in doing it." Gunn then self-deprecatingly joked that now that he's revealed the idea, the internet will undoubtedly fixate on it: "Now everyone's just going to be talking about this: 'Deadpool was really behind one of those doors?' I probably shouldn't have said anything!"
