Oscar-winning actress Diane Keaton passed away recently, prompting an outpouring of tributes from many Hollywood peers and younger generations. While some chose not to comment publicly, they privately shared their grief with close friends and family. According to the Daily Mail, Al Pacino, who co-starred with Keaton in "The Godfather" trilogy, recently confided in friends that he regretted not seizing the opportunity to marry her when they were together.

The Daily Mail reported that Pacino recently told friends that Keaton was the love of his life and that he regretted not marrying her. A friend of Pacino's stated that he would forever regret not taking action when he had the chance. The friend added that for years after their breakup, Pacino would often say that if he and Diane were meant to be, it would never be too late to start over, but unfortunately, it was now too late.
Pacino's friend also mentioned that both Keaton and Pacino owned homes in Beverly Hills, living quite close to each other, but had not spoken for many years. The friend recalled asking Pacino why this was the case, to which he replied that they had no need to speak to each other anymore, as they had already said everything there was to say.
