This time, 'Arkham Asylum' is not just a beautifully crafted scene, but an exquisite building that can perfectly integrate into your LEGO city.

Due to several tricky patients escaping, injuries among staff, construction work... and many other reasons, we can finally show this LEGO 76300 'Arkham Asylum' charm to all the toys people in Gotham City! Today, let's play with the Toy People editorial team - Arkham's Temporary Dispatch Team as we explore this 2025 annual DC masterpiece!

Arkham Asylum was created by Dr. Amadeus Arkham, whose original vision was for mentally ill patients to spend peaceful days here. However, over time, Arkham Asylum transformed from just a mental health facility into a place that houses individuals with severe criminal tendencies, equipped with the facilities to securely contain them, and has become one of the classic locations in Gotham City within the DC universe. Despite having highly secure monitoring equipment, prison breaks at Arkham Asylum still frequently occur.

▼ The packaging front of Arkham Asylum stands out against a black background, making it quite eye-catching!

▼ The back of the packaging also showcases the rear view of the building, along with interior details, a structural diagram, and specifications for the assembled model, which measures 25 cm in length and 32 cm in height.

▼ Let’s see what’s inside! This set contains 2953 pieces divided into 24 bags, along with a 32×32 gray baseplate, a versatile black track part, two instruction booklets, and two large sheets of stickers filled with Easter eggs.

▼ The designs on the back covers of the two booklets are different.

▼ Flipping through the instruction booklets, you can find introductions to Arkham Asylum within the DC universe, along with insights from the LEGO design team about this set.

▼ Next, you will find character introductions included in this set, featuring heroes and villains!

▼ Complete! Let's appreciate this Arkham Asylum from all angles~ it’s truly stunning! As mentioned earlier, the key term '32×32' baseplate indicates that this can perfectly fit into the LEGO Modular Buildings series, which represents that this Arkham Asylum is not only a highly complete scene but also integrates beautifully into your LEGO metropolis!

▼ This building's key stacking techniques create the entrance, windows, and spire structures at a 90-degree angle.

▼ Many areas show signs of damage and repair~ after all, those locked inside are Gotham's most notorious criminals.

▼ There are also many messy graffiti~

▼ Like any typical streetscape, this building can easily be separated into three units: the ground floor, the second floor, and the roof.

▼ Now let's take a look at the exterior details of Arkham Asylum~ the versatile black track parts are cleverly used here as a curved sign holder, super strong! You can also see various graffiti related to the Joker, featuring 'HAHAHA'.

▼ Personally, I love this road paving design, which isn't all neat, but clearly outlines the most trafficked paths.

▼ The Gothic-style spire is quite charming, adding an air of mystery to this asylum.

▼ The yellow garbage bins and transformer boxes near the back door serve special purposes, which we'll look at later. Here, we can start discussing the slogan on the back door 'Not a Revolving Door.'

▼ On the surface, 'Not a Revolving Door' can be understood as 'This is not a place for anyone to enter and exit freely'; however, considering that the Arkham Asylum frequently experiences prison breaks and hardly contains criminals, even notorious villains can come and go as they please—along with the Riddler's 'un' before 'restricted access area,' the irony runs deep.

▼ Harvey Dent's campaign poster features the 'HAHAHA' graffiti, and his face is cleverly torn in half.

▼ According to official settings, this cell is assigned to Killer Croc, but it seems he directly used a spoon to dig his way out~ Surprisingly, he left the spoon behind, which is quite provocative!

▼ In the courtyard of Arkham Asylum, could those claw marks on the manhole cover also be the work of Killer Croc???

▼ After viewing the exterior details, it's time to look at the interior! Let's start with an overview of the first floor structure of Arkham Asylum.

▼ Right after pushing open the big door, the multifunctional room can be seen on the right. Staff can take booking photos of all new incoming prisoners and monitor surveillance footage, while there's also a high-security cell designed specifically for the Joker.

▼ A multitude of details can be discovered on the black message board on the wall, including the missing spoon used by Killer Croc to dig a hole, Batman's sticky note, and the photosynthesis chemical formula related to Poison Ivy: 6CO2 + 6H2O → C6H12O6 + 6O2, possibly the Riddler's escape route... etc. Ah~ no wonder he inscribed the 'un' on the back door; he definitely left from there.

▼ Did the monitor catch Scarecrow adding liquid fear gas!! On the desk, there's a copy of 'The Dark Knight Returns' comic, classic~

▼ Although it doesn't have a minifigure representation, one of Batman's villains, Clayface, appears through a computer screen and a videotape.

▼ Moving on to the cell section, simply pulling the garbage bin located at the back door will open the cell's glass door.

▼ Inside the garbage can, there's actually a comic book published in 1941 (Batman Vol 1 #9). The official description mentioned 'this set is perfect as a Batman countdown calendar', allowing you to build one bag a day with its 24 bags. Is this related to a Christmas story in this Batman comic?~~

▼ Besides the cell doors being openable, the walls are also easy to remove. No wonder the jailbreaks are so EASY!

Now let's head to the second floor! Besides the cells, the second floor also features the office of the Arkham Asylum psychologist.

▼ In the office, you can see Hugo Strange's PhD certificate, the transition from Harley Quinn, who was once Arkham's psychologist, to the bounty-hunted Harley Quinn, as well as the escape record of Killer Croc from GCPD.

▼ The cells on the second floor can also be opened by pulling the transformer box.

▼ Behind the transformer box, there's a hidden egg, reminiscent of the interesting arrangement of hiding a mug within the elevator in 76269 Avengers Tower.

▼ The outermost cell is evidently for Poison Ivy, with vines bursting out of the broken window.

▼ In front of the cell, the warning sign lists classic items of villains, such as Two-Face's coin, Penguin's umbrella, Joker's cards... etc.

▼ The second floor also features a monitoring room, which is not only easy to detach and play with, but also reveals spilled drinks that surely were infused with fear gas. Is anyone hurt??

▼ Let's examine the six cells here~ each can easily have its outer wall removed.

▼ Another major selling point of this set includes a total of 16 character minifigures! The villains include Bane, Penguin, Scarecrow, Killer Croc, Joker, Harley Quinn, Riddler, Mr. Freeze, and Poison Ivy.

▼ Additionally, there are two guards, Catwoman, Batwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Batman.

▼ Besides the Arkham Asylum building and the minifigures, this set also includes a prison van that transports patients (which can also be used as a getaway vehicle after a villain's escape), with the license plate B258 likely representing Batman Comic #258 published in 1974, which marked the first appearance of Arkham Asylum.

LEGO 76300 'Arkham Asylum' Unboxing Summary:

With a streetscape-designed 32×32 baseplate, it can perfectly blend into your LEGO city setup, which is definitely a major charming feature of this modular Arkham Asylum. Furthermore, both the exterior intricacy and interior presentation exhibit excellent performance, along with the luxurious collection of 16 characters, all of which make this LEGO worthy of the title of DC's annual masterpiece.

Next, another selling point of this set: the rich infusion of Easter eggs! Whether the ones that are immediately apparent or those requiring repeated research to understand the interesting bits of hidden Easter eggs all contribute to a more complete and enjoyable narrative of this LEGO. Not to mention the designer’s clever interconnections among multiple elements, which make it truly fun! However, achieving all these rich elements requires a plethora of stickers, which personally disrupted the rhythm during assembly, but in comparison to the enjoyable narrative post-completion, it instantly feels worthwhile.
