Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd. Gashapon brand, GASHAPON, which issues the "Mobile Suit Gundam" Heavy Equipment X Ensemble Gashapon toy series, characterized by common connection points and infinite customization, has announced the latest product from the theatrical anime "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM", the "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE ~Black Knight Squad~", scheduled for release in late March 2026. This product is a GASHAPON ONLINE exclusive from Bandai's official store.
The NOG-M1A1 BLACK KNIGHT SQUAD Shi-ve.A and NOG-M4F4 BLACK KNIGHT SQUAD Rud-ro.A are mobile suits developed by the emerging Kingdom of Foundation for its Queen's Royal Guard members. They are equipped with the new generation "FT (Femto Technology) armor" which can largely withstand beam attacks, and a "Beam Cloak" on the back that serves both offensive and defensive functions. They can also generate "afterimages" for high-mobility combat.
The "NOG-M1A1 BLACK KNIGHT SQUAD Shi-ve.A", piloted by Royal Guard Commander Shura Serpentine, is specialized for his excellent swordsmanship and close-quarters combat. The "NOG-M4F4 BLACK KNIGHT SQUAD Rud-ro.A", piloted by squad members Redelard, Griffin, Liu Shenqiang, and Daniel, are equipped with general-purpose standard armaments such as beam rifles, shields, and anti-ship swords. To compensate for insufficient firepower in solo operations, they sortie with unmanned drones like the GINN-R or DINN-R.
The "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE ~Black Knight Squad~" set includes all five Black Knight Squad exclusive mobile suits mentioned above. At an SD scale of approximately 6.5 cm in height, they feature rich body details and faithfully reproduce the characteristic color schemes of each unit. The "Beam Cloak" mounted on the back is recreated using clear parts. The four NOG-M4F4 BLACK KNIGHT SQUAD Rud-ro.A units come with identical beam rifles, shields, and anti-ship swords, while the NOG-M1A1 BLACK KNIGHT SQUAD Shi-ve.A is equipped with three beam sabers, a heat sword, a shield with hidden claws, and beam blades deployed from the toes, all specialized for close-quarters combat.
