The popular assembly model candy toy series 『SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT』, released by BANDAI CANDY, Bandai Co., Ltd.'s Candy Toy division in Japan, has announced its latest product from the anime "The Brave Fighter of Legend Da-Garn": "Da-Garn X", scheduled for release in April 2026.
"Da-Garn" is one of the "Legendary Braves" of the Planet Defense System, capable of transforming from a police car into a 10-meter tall robot form for combat. Furthermore, after "Earth Combination" with the Earth Fighter and Earth Liner, it can form the 22.5-meter tall Da-Garn X, which is more powerful in both size and strength than Da-Garn itself. It possesses powerful armaments to counter various enemies, capable of unleashing the mighty special move "Storm Earth Wave Cannon". It can also combine into a large fighter jet form, "Da-Garn Jet", for long-range travel.
The "SMP Da-Garn X" set includes three machines: Da-Garn, Earth Fighter, and Earth Liner. All three machines are constructed with multi-colored molded parts and stickers, boasting excellent sculpting in their vehicle forms, and can also combine into the "Da-Garn Jet" form. Da-Garn can also transform from its police car form into a robot form approximately 5 cm tall, and its right hand can be replaced to hold the "Da-Garn Gun".
Through the transformation mechanisms built into the three machines, Da-Garn transforms into the waist, Earth Fighter into the upper body, and Earth Liner into the lower body, recreating the anime's setting to combine into the cool "Da-Garn X". Additionally, Da-Garn's transformed waist can be replaced with a part focused on appearance, which not only better replicates the in-show design but also strengthens the connection between the upper and lower body and enhances the waist's left-right rotation articulation. The hands feature a mechanism to deploy the built-in weapon "Earth Vulcan", and the leg side parts can combine to form the handheld weapon "Earth Cannon". The chest armor can open left and right to recreate the "Storm Earth Wave Cannon" special move firing state. Furthermore, a "Da-Garn Sword" is included, allowing for various sword techniques to be recreated with its flexible articulation.
