Hong Kong model brand YOLOPARK's high-quality pre-painted assembly model series "AMK PRO" is launching a new product based on the anime "Karas" – the "Otoha Karas – Regenerate" pre-assembled action figure! It has a suggested retail price of US$65 and is scheduled for release in Q4 2025!
"Karas" is an original OVA series produced by Tatsunoko Production in 2005 and 2007 to commemorate its 40th anniversary. With production costs exceeding 400 million JPY per episode, it became one of the most expensive anime productions in history. The story tells of a fictional Shinjuku filled with yokai (supernatural beings), where the city's powerful guardian, "Karas" Hoshunin Ekou, intends to control and destroy the Shinjuku he once protected. To stop the murders from continuing, the new successor, Otoha Yousuke, teams up with other yokai to fight against him.
This AMK PRO "Otoha Karas – Regenerate" stands approximately 20 cm tall. It features Otoha's armor design after his regeneration in the final battle. The sculpting faithfully reproduces various details on the armor, and the intricate paintwork brings out the gold and red patterns. The iconic red eyes have a built-in LED light-up mechanism, which can be activated to recreate Otoha Karas' visual effects from the series! Accessories include a katana, an upgraded katana, a dedicated scabbard, and four interchangeable hands. These can be combined with the flexible articulation to recreate various dynamic and powerful poses from the final battle! Additionally, a feathered cape accessory is included, intricately capturing details like feather textures. It can be equipped on Otoha Karas' shoulders to display his imposing appearance upon entry!
