Following the 1987 film "Masters of the Universe," Mattel's iconic "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" IP is set to receive a brand-new live-action adaptation. As is common with many remakes, fans have been curious whether Dolph Lundgren, who starred as He-Man in the original "Masters of the Universe," might make a cameo appearance in the upcoming film.

During a recent interview with "Extra TV," Lundgren was asked about a potential appearance in the new "Masters of the Universe" movie. He responded cryptically, "Maybe, you'll just have to wait until it comes out and see it in theaters." Years ago, Lundgren had expressed his willingness to return for a smaller role, such as King Randor, He-Man's father. However, that role has already been confirmed for James Purefoy in the new film.

The new "Masters of the Universe" live-action film is directed by Travis Knight, known for "Kubo and the Two Strings," with Chris Butler, co-writer of "Kubo and the Two Strings," penning the screenplay. The movie is slated for a global release on June 5th next year.

The extensive cast also includes Nicholas Galitzine (pictured above) as Prince Adam, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Beast Man, Kojo Attah as Man-At-Arms, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba as Captain Duncan, Camila Mendes as Teela, Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress of Grayskull, and Kristen Wiig, who will voice Roboto, among many other stars.
