Actor Armie Hammer, known for "Call Me by Your Name" and "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," is making his return to acting after a four-year hiatus following multiple allegations of sexual assault and cannibalistic fantasies. He has taken on several smaller independent film projects, with the Western "Frontier Crucible" being the first to see release. The film recently unveiled its first trailer and promotional poster (pictured below).

"Frontier Crucible" is an adaptation of the late crime novelist Harry Whittington's 1961 novel "Desert Stake-Out." Independent filmmaker Travis Mills, known for his long-standing passion for low-budget Westerns, directs the feature. The ensemble cast also includes Thomas Jane, William H. Macy, Zane Holtz, and Joshua Odjick. The film is set to hit North American theaters and digital platforms on December 5.
The official synopsis reads: "When a wagon train carrying desperately needed medical supplies is attacked by Apaches, the only man who can get it to its destination is Malick Beckford. To reach his goal, he must enlist the help of three dangerous outlaws. But when they accidentally kill an Apache scout, the situation becomes unpredictable, and survival is the only test."
