BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, under its "S.H.MonsterArts" articulated figure brand, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, has officially unveiled a new product in its "-Movie Graphic Plus-" series: the "Godzilla (2014)" articulated figure, based on the 2014 film "Godzilla". It will retail for 11,000 JPY and is scheduled for release in May 2026!
The 2014 film "Godzilla" was a reboot of the Hollywood Godzilla film series and the first installment in Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse. The story recounts how early U.S. military nuclear tests, intended to eliminate giant beasts, unexpectedly revealed the existence of ancient creatures. Years later, U.S. military engineer Brody and his son uncover the truth hidden within a quarantined zone, leading to the emergence of the giant beast "MUTO," which awakens Godzilla from its deep-sea slumber. The two ancient titans ultimately clash in San Francisco.
This -Movie Graphic Plus- Godzilla (2014) stands approximately 15 cm tall. It is a recolored version based on the 2014 release, with sculpting and painting by renowned Godzilla sculptor Yuji Sakai. The detailed sculpt powerfully captures its cinematic appearance. Referencing night battle scenes, the skin is painted in a darker deep gray compared to the original version, recreating Godzilla's weighty texture and oppressive atmosphere during its fierce battle with the MUTOs in the darkness! Furthermore, in addition to the monster itself, the new "-Movie Graphic Plus-" series will also include an extra "Godzilla" movie poster paper card, which can be displayed alongside the figure!
