A24's 2023 horror hit "Talk to Me," which cost only $4.5 million to make but grossed nearly $100 million worldwide, prompted the studio to greenlight a sequel just weeks after its release. Twin directors Danny and Michael Philippou are also confirmed to return for the follow-up. However, Variety magazine today revealed an additional project in development: a spin-off series.
Meta and XRTV recently announced their collaboration with the Philippou brothers to develop a "Talk to Me" spin-off series. What makes this project unique is its 3D production, designed as an XR (Extended Reality) experience viewable exclusively through Meta's head-mounted devices.

The series is planned for six episodes. The story concept comes from Darren Brandl, known for his work on low-budget horror series. Trent Atherton is penning all episodes. Craig William Macneill, who has directed episodes of "Westworld" and "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" among other TV series, will helm all six installments.
This spin-off will follow a group of young travelers partying across Europe who stumble upon the severed hand capable of summoning spirits to possess human bodies. They become dangerously addicted to this object, which proves more potent than any drug. Officials describe the series as "Euphoria" with a possession twist.
