GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan has announced that the latest product in its original assembly model series, "Chitocerium," "chirality I-hydra," is scheduled for release in May 2026.
The name of the new sub-series, "chirality," is derived from the academic term "chirality," which refers to the property of being mirror images that cannot be superimposed, like left and right hands. The "Chitocerium" series presents this concept by re-releasing "mirror image existences" based on past series characters. This product, "chirality I-hydra," is an alternate color version based on "I-hydra," the Queen of the Miniature Garden Chitocerium.
"chirality I-hydra" reinterprets the Queen of the Miniature Garden using new molded colors such as gold, purple, blue, and white, transforming her from an imposing and luxurious image to one of serenity and mystery. The base body features high-density surface carvings and openwork designs created with precise part molding technology, while some elegant embroidery patterns utilize pre-painted parts. For the three pre-painted interchangeable face parts, doll artist Renya, active under the name MUGUET, was invited to design them, creating a gorgeous yet natural doll-like makeup look.
The "fragment" body not only showcases extremely beautiful body curves but also features a flexible articulated joint design, allowing for further enhancement of the exquisite character design and posing in various magnificent actions. The various exterior parts mounted on the body are connected by multi-axis movable parts. Each piece, adorned with openwork artistic carvings, can form a huge crown and cape befitting a queen, and after transformation, can become large wings on the back, allowing for various scenes to be played out with the handheld scepter and fan.
Like other products in the series, "chirality I-hydra" comes with a dedicated hexagonal storage box. The box surface features its exclusive ornate pattern, and the main body and armament can be fully stored inside by curling and folding. Additionally, the box can be fitted with an articulated stand to form a display base.
