S.H.MonsterArts "Godzilla (Godzilla The Ride: Great Clash)" Prototype Exhibition: Master Yuji Sakai Sculpts Seibu-en Godzilla!

Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the "S.H.MonsterArts" series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, showcased a prototype of its latest work, "Godzilla (Godzilla The Ride: Great Clash)," from the Seibu-en amusement park attraction, at today's "Godzilla Fes 2025" event. The release date is yet to be determined.

"Godzilla The Ride: Great Monster Summit Battle" is an attraction launched in May 2021 at Japan's Seibu-en Amusement Park. It was collaboratively created by two major teams led by director Takashi Yamazaki, from Shirogumi Inc., and Shoichiro Tsuno, the legendary figure credited with revitalizing Universal Studios Japan. It combines exquisite 3DCG visuals with powerful sound and light effects, a dome-shaped screen, and dynamic seating, allowing audiences to experience an immersive monster battle. Following the critical acclaim of director Takashi Yamazaki's "Godzilla Minus One," Seibu-en also launched a new work, "Godzilla The Ride: Great Clash," in August 2025, depicting a scene of Godzilla's decisive battle at sea against the new Mechagodzilla, "Type-0 Mecha-Beast G-BREAKER."

The "S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (Godzilla The Ride: Great Clash)" prototype was sculpted by Japan's foremost Godzilla prototype sculptor, Yuji Sakai. The sculpt faithfully adheres to the in-film design, being almost identical to the S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla (2023), with the key differences being the absence of a scar on the left cheek and the use of new parts for the dorsal fins, recreating the coral-like dorsal fins reminiscent of Heisei Godzilla.
