Megahouse, a Japanese model manufacturer, has officially announced the full product details for the latest addition to its 'G.E.M.EX' series of Pokémon-themed figures, 'Mega Charizard X & Mega Charizard Y', slated for release in late July 2026.
The highly popular Pokémon, Charizard, first gained the ability to "Mega Evolve" in the sixth generation main series games, Pokémon X and Y. At the time, it was also one of only two Pokémon, besides Mewtwo, to possess both X and Y Mega Evolution forms. These two forms exhibit significant differences in both appearance and abilities. 'Mega Charizard X', with its entirely black body and blue flames, changes its typing to Fire/Dragon and significantly boosts its Attack and Defense base stats. 'Mega Charizard Y', which retains its original colors and features a sharper design, keeps its original typing and significantly boosts its Special Attack and Special Defense base stats.
The "G.E.M. EX Mega Charizard X & Mega Charizard Y" figure captures the dynamic, soaring poses of both Mega Evolution forms within a scene approximately 21 cm tall. The intricate sculpting and coloring meticulously reproduce the distinct appearances and palettes of the two Charizards. The dual-colored flames are rendered with transparent parts and gradient paintwork to achieve a magnificent effect. Furthermore, the base beneath features shattered rock fragments, conveying the immense power unleashed by Mega Evolution. From any angle, one can admire the sight of the two-toned flames soaring and dancing together.
