The Blue Giant of Ocean Power! Alphamax - Ultimate Action Body Ultraman Agul V2

Ultraman Agul V2

Ultraman Agul is an Ultraman who appeared in Tsuburaya Productions' tokusatsu series "Ultraman Gaia." He is Gaia's close friend and also his greatest rival. He is an Ultraman transformed by Hiroya Fujimiya, a scientist and former member of "Alchemy Stars."

Agul is a blue giant representing the power of the ocean. Like Gaia, Agul is also an Ultraman born on Earth. Unlike Gaia's red light of the earth, he symbolizes the blue light of the ocean. Similarly, Agul transforms by Fujimiya's own will, becoming completely one with the light. Initially, due to differing beliefs, Agul had to fight both monsters and Gaia; later, the two became friends and joined forces to combat the invasion from the "Radical Destruction Bringer."

The Ultraman Agul main body stands approximately 16.5cm tall. Agul features 42 built-in movable joints and utilizes Lycra fabric, similar to the material used for actual suit actors, to prevent easy tearing. The main body and shoes are handcrafted with fabric wrapping to achieve a realistic suit effect. Magnets are used at the soles of the feet for stable posing and increased flexibility, enhancing playability. Additionally, the body has built-in LEDs, replicating the special lighting effects from the original series, controlled easily by a magnetic device (the transformation item). Effect parts for beam emission are also included, featuring iridescent paint to enhance their three-dimensional appearance.

Alphamax's Agul truly surpasses the S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou) line in terms of playability and durability! However, in terms of articulation, the neck and waist movement are only average. Nevertheless, this Agul is, to some extent, a 12-inch scale figure. Although the suit has reserved some space for joint movement, the range of motion cannot be as unrestricted as an S.H.Figuarts figure. Users should pay special attention when handling it! Furthermore, while most of the body suit is Lycra fabric, this does not mean the surface paint will not chip. Therefore, after playing, it is still recommended, just like with 12-inch figures, not to keep the joints in a bent position for extended periods. Also, regarding the cylindrical ball joint for holding the light sphere in both hands, I personally sanded down the sphere to forcibly insert it into the wrist of the hand holding the sphere. Please be aware of this during assembly!

If you saw their display at ACGHK2025, you'll know that the Ultraman Six Brothers are already the next series of releases! The conclusion is... Ultraman Fans, Gogogo!

Can Alphamax acquire the licenses for Gaia SSV and Agul V3??? Also, Tsuburaya's Ultraman stage shows feature many Ultramen that haven't appeared on TV; please discuss this with Tsuburaya...
