Mattel Creations, the online sales platform under American toy company Mattel that collaborates with fan creators to sell their works, has officially unveiled a new product based on the super popular animated film "Kpop Demon Hunters"—the "HUNTR/X Rumi / Mira / Zoey 'What It Sounds Like'" Doll Set. With a reference price of US$150, pre-orders will open on the official Mattel Creations website on November 12, 2025, at 09:00 AM Pacific Time, with an estimated shipping date of October 2026!
"Kpop Demon Hunters," which premiered on Netflix in June 2025, is an animated film produced by Sony Pictures Animation. It tells the story of the popular South Korean girl group HUNTR/X, who inherit the mission of generations of demon hunters, operating as a popular girl group while secretly hunting down demons lurking among humans. The film garnered immense buzz upon its release, and the sing-along version, which debuted in theaters in August, topped the box office within just two days. Recently, news of a sequel set for release in 2029 was also announced!
This doll set is crafted based on the outfits worn by the HUNTR/X members during their performance of "What It Sounds Like" at the end of the film. Utilizing Mattel's exquisite doll-making techniques, honed over years with the Barbie and Monster High series, Rumi, Mira, and Zoey are brought to life as they appear in the show. The costumes feature high-quality fabric tailoring to faithfully recreate their iconic white and gold performance attire. Advanced hair-rooting technology meticulously reproduces the hairstyles of all three characters, and Rumi's demon mark and the members' facial makeup are also delicately painted to perfection!
Each doll features 11 points of articulation and comes with their exclusive weapons: the Four Tiger Sword, Scimitar, and Divine Blade, allowing for dynamic poses recreating their battles with demons from the film! Additionally, an official collector's certificate will be included, along with an exquisite collector's display box and dust cover, perfect for showcasing the powerful charm of HUNTR/X, who can turn soul gates golden!
