Kotobukiya, a Japanese toy company, in collaboration with the immensely popular virtual singer Hatsune Miku, has announced the latest product in their assembly model "FRAME MUSIC GIRL" series, the "Snow Miku Another Color Ver.", slated for release in April 2026.
Snow Miku serves as the ambassador for promoting winter tourism in Hokkaido, accompanied by her adorable Ezo snow rabbit pet, "Rabbit Yukine." Originating from the "Hatsune Miku Snow Sculpture" created during the 2010 Sapporo Snow Festival, Crypton Future Media, the company that planned and developed "Hatsune Miku," is also based in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Subsequently, Hokkaido hosts the annual "SNOW MIKU" festival (in conjunction with the Sapporo Snow Festival), where costume designs are solicited online each year based on different themes.
The "FRAME MUSIC GIRL Snow Miku Another Color Ver." is based on the previously released standard version, with updated part molding colors. Illustrator Shimada Fumikane is responsible for the new color design, transforming the original silver-white costume into a winter-inspired blend of icy blue, navy blue, and white. The hair parts have also been changed from the original crystal-like transparent blue to a richer, semi-gloss pearl blue.
The posable body utilizes the reinterpreted design by mechanical designer Yanase Takayuki from the FRAME MUSIC GIRL Hatsune Miku series. It integrates Kotobukiya's "Frame Arms Girl" style armor design onto the original costume, with deployable speaker units equipped on both sides of the short skirt. The articulated joints also inherit the "Frame Arms Girl" series design, offering not only flexible posability but also compatibility with separately sold "Frame Arms Girl" and other Kotobukiya assembly model replacement parts via universal 3mm pegs.
Accessories include three pre-painted face parts, five pairs of PVC molded hands, a microphone & microphone stand, speaker drones & dedicated clear stands, a Hatsune Miku display base, and more, allowing for various singing poses to be recreated with the main body's flexible articulation.
