Franchise veterans Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Tony Hale as Forky, and Joan Cusack as Jessie are all set to return. New cast members joining the ensemble include Ernie Hudson, who steps in to voice Combat Carl, a role previously held by the late Carl Weathers, and Conan O'Brien, lending his voice to the new character "Smarty Pants."
The narrative will reportedly center on Jessie once again, echoing the themes of the second film. The new antagonist introduced in the fifth installment is LilyPad, a children's tablet voiced by Greta Lee, which will explore the growing phenomenon of children's reliance on digital devices.
