Aoshima Bunka Kyozai's model kit brand ACKS has officially announced its latest product from the anime "Super Beast Machine God Dancouga", the "No.DN-01 Super Beast Machine God Dancouga + Dancouken Accessory Set", slated for release in May 2026.
In the story, to counter the invasion of an alien empire from another dimension, Dr. Hazuki secretly developed four super weapons called "Beast Fighters" and recruited four young pilots, including Shinobu Fujiwara, from the officer academy. These four Beast Fighters are powerful weapons capable of three-stage transformation: normal mode, beast mode, and robot mode. They can further combine to form the giant robot "Dancouga", unleashing its maximum combat power. By sensing the pilots' mental energy, Dancouga wields unfathomable power, but this also places an immense burden on their minds and bodies.
The "ACKS Super Beast Machine God Dancouga + Dancouken Accessory Set" is crafted using multi-colored molded parts and pre-painted cockpit canopy parts. It foregoes the individual transformation and combination mechanisms of each machine, instead presenting the fully combined "Dancouga" form at a height of 24 cm with flexible articulation. The overall design is based on the anime's settings, featuring a refined and heavily armored exterior, coupled with highly flexible movable joints, allowing for the recreation of various cool combat poses from the series.
Weapon accessories include the Dancou Cannon, Booster Wing, Dancouken, and Dancou Kougaken effect parts. The Dancou Cannon also features interchangeable parts for an appearance-focused version, enhancing its overall cool proportions. The Dancouken and Dancou Kougaken effects boast a unique design with a broad tip and narrow spine, allowing for the recreation of impressive "heroic stance" scenes from the series when viewed from specific angles! The model kit's box art was created by renowned illustrator Hidetaka Tenjin, depicting Dancouga in a powerful pose unleashing the Dancou Kougaken.
Furthermore, Aoshima will simultaneously release the "Super Beast Machine God Dancouga + Large Cannon Accessory Set", an exclusive item available only at their official online store, "AOSHIMA ONLINE SHOP". The difference lies in replacing the Booster Wing, Dancouken, and Dancou Kougaken effect parts with equipment such as a "Large Cannon" and "Flight Booster". The box art also features new illustrations depicting these same armaments. The two cannons on the Flight Booster can rotate their barrels to adjust the firing angle, and the "Large Cannon" can be held with both hands to recreate impressive shooting scenes.
