Two years after stepping down from his eponymous TOM FORD brand and vowing to refocus on filmmaking, "fashion king" Tom Ford has finally unveiled the star-studded cast for his third feature directorial effort, "Cry to Heaven."
The extensive ensemble includes Nicholas Hoult, Ciarán Hinds, George MacKay, Mark Strong, Paul Bettany, Owen Cooper, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Hunter Schafer, Theodore Pellerin, Cassian Bilton, Thandiwe Newton, and Daryl McCormack. Also joining are Colin Firth, who starred in Ford's directorial debut "A Single Man," Aaron Taylor Johnson, a collaborator on Ford's "Nocturnal Animals," and Lux Pascal, sister to Pedro Pascal.

Among the star-studded lineup, the most notable addition is superstar Adele, marking her official big-screen debut. Years ago, rumors circulated that Xavier Dolan's "The Death & Life of John F. Donovan" would be her acting debut; however, only her music was ultimately featured in the film, with her scenes reportedly cut.
"Cry to Heaven," written and directed by Ford, is an adaptation of Anne Rice's novel of the same name, the author behind "Interview with the Vampire." Set in 18th-century Italy, the story follows a Venetian nobleman and a castrato from Calabria as they strive for success in the opera world. The narrative explores themes of identity, betrayal, love, and the pursuit of art and personal freedom. The film is currently in pre-production in London and Rome, with principal photography slated to begin in mid-January next year, aiming for a late autumn release next year.
